Pam's Picks
Grow delicious fruit from your own backyard or patio. It's so easy to grow sweet lemons to enjoy in drinks & recipes. Disease and pest resistant… so you can grow them organically and save a bundle!
Here’s Why Meyer Lemons are the Best Selling Patio Citrus Trees:

So Hardy, it Grows Indoors or Out… reportedly withstanding brief temperatures as low as 22 F. If you live in a colder climate, you can easily move it inside for the winter. Your tree will continue to bear fruit and brighten your home. Its vivid yellow/orange fruit against its glossy evergreen foliage will make this your all-time favorite houseplant.

You Get a Lot of Lemons to Eat and Share. These are prolific fruiters, even when young. Order our large-sized trees and you will be picking lemons the very first season. Plus, Meyer Lemons ripen over several months, not all at once… so you have more time to enjoy them.

A Great Tasting Lemon. Meyers are naturally sweeter than standard lemons. My children make healthy, nutritious Meyer Lemonade with just lemons and water… no processed sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Amazing Citrus Blossoms Fill Your Home or Yard with a Fresh, Delightful Scent. The fragrance is almost like a jasmine/citrus blend. It’s one of the best smelling plants I know of. These blooms self-pollinate to produce fruit.

This is a FUN Tree. It’s almost always doing something. Either it’s fruiting or blooming. When friends come over, they will want to see what’s new with your Meyer Lemon… it’s almost like having a pet.

Trouble-Free Citrus Tree. Highly adaptable and forgiving… just give it a little organic fertilizer and water occasionally. Long lived - capable of producing fruit for over 30 years. If you bring it indoors, try to place it within 6 feet of a sunny window.

Our Meyer Lemon trees are grafted on to a sturdy root stock, rather than grown from seed like many other nurseries. This helps our Nurserymen produce a better quality tree that’s hardier, fruits sooner, and has a more attractive form. This process takes a lot of hand work and time, but the difference is dramatic.

Your Improved Meyer Lemon Tree can be planted any time of year!

We Hate to Wait and know you do too! That's why Fast Growing Trees Nursery leads the industry in how quickly we get your order out.  While some orders go out immediately, most are shipped within 7-10 days of your order date. This does not include transit time, which can be several days depending on your state.

We try to avoid plants being in transit over the weekend, which may cause your order to be shipped out at the beginning of the following week. We use FedEx so your order is shipped quickly.

Several products are delayed shipping until the Fall or Spring. These delays are stated on the product description page and helps us insure that you get the healthiest plants possible. On rare occasions, we will delay shipping if we see severe weather forecasts for your area or ours or if we encounter other unusual issues.

If you would like to postpone or reschedule your ship date, just call us and we can send your plants out at a more convenient time for you. If you are sending plants as a gift or need them quicker than normal, we encourage you to place your order by phone.

It's Easy to Plant your Improved Meyer Lemon Tree
Step 1 - Dig Your Hole
Select a site with full to partial sun and moist or well drained soil for your Improved Meyer Lemon Tree. If you're planting a hedge, mark out a visual guide by placing stakes five to six feet apart and looping string around them. Plant the trees where the stakes are and they'll grow together to make a dense privacy screen. First, dig each hole so that it is just shallower than the root ball and at least twice the width. Then loosen the soil in the planting hole so the roots can easily break through. Use your shovel or try dragging the points of a pitch fork along the sides and bottom of the hole.
Step 2 - Place Your Tree
Next, separate the roots of your Improved Meyer Lemon Tree gently with your fingers and position them downward in the hole. The top of the root flare, where the roots end and the trunk begins, should be about an inch above the surrounding soil. Then make sure the tree is exactly vertical in the hole. To make it just right, use a level.
Step 3 - Backfill Your Hole
As you backfill the hole, apply water to remove air pockets. Remove debris like stones and grass and completely break up any dirt clumps. Water your Improved Meyer Lemon Tree again after the transplant is complete. To help retain some of that moisture, it's recommended that you place mulch around each tree to a depth of 2"-3" up to but not touching the trunk. Organic mulches such as wood chips or pine needles also help to better soil structure as they decompose.

Most useful customer reviews (Improved Meyer Lemon Tree Reviews):
I just want to let you know that my meyer lemon tree i got from you last year doing very good.I got 9 fruits out of a mediem size of tree.I'm so exciting about that tree and i just love it.My husband ordered for me for my birthday last year.I belive if you order this meryer lemon tree from fast growing you will not get upset with it.I plant to get it some more..Thanks...

The first year we had about a dozen lemons, very sweet, we used them all. Then the plant yellowed and almost died, lost almost all it leaves. The spring came and we took it back outside. It did not like winter in the house. We trimmed it back, gave it plenty of water and food. It's back in the house this winter, looks great, bloomed and so far I count 42 little green lemons on the tree. I have high hopes for this year!

Great lemon tree. I would deffinately recommend it. We had it outside and we just recently put in indoors and is bloming with lots of flowers!

I just got the meyer lemon about 1 month ago it has not grown or came with any lemons. The Tree is very healthy and is growing lots of leaves :)
It is a good tree to get and is easy to grow in any climate

Purchased this lemon tree for my daughter when she moved to Naples, FL when it arrived it was much shorter than I thought it was going to be. It began to grow and had little blooms coming on it and we all got excited thinking that fruit would follow, but it died.

Hasn't died yet, but I wonder how much longer it will last. Arrived good and healthy with one green lemon on a lower branch. Heren we nare several months later, the green lemon is still green and has not gained in size. It gets water, as needed, soil checked with two different moistrure content meters. It gets 5 to 6 hours of full sun, we live in arizona. It is planted in a ceramic pot the same size & shape as the one you show in your catalog. The tree has lost about 15% of the leaves it arrived with. we have done all we know in caring for and growing trees. We have had good fortune with a wide variety of plants and trees, including Blueberries, Peach, Appricot, Apple, Pear, and Orange trees to name but a few. Your tree has me stumped. If it survives th ewinter inside, we might just keep it. Still waiting for blooms. It did start to grow new fruit toward the top of the tree. They never matured. Any suggestions will be appriciated. This was a birthday present for my wife of 35 years. The success of this little tree means a great deal to her and to me. Thank you.

We are very pleased with our Lemon Tree. There are 15 beautiful lemons growing right now. I can't wait to see them turn yellow so we can enjoy them.

easy growing...little care

I love the evolution of growth of this tree. It looks good.

I gave this tree as a gift to my parents. It sits on their balcony. They love it and are always calling to tell me what its doing. It smells great when flowering! We're waiting for the first fruits to ripen right now; they still look like green little limes currently. It's stayed very healthy and has been fun indeed :)

I was a little skeptical at first. It did take a long time for my tree to ship (over 45 days) and once it arrived I was wondering what I paid $50.00 for a “twig” but it has since been very impressive. Easy to grow and withstood the heavy wind and rain storms we have had this summer. I would recommend getting the larger tree if you’re looking for quicker results.

My tree came in excellent condition and grew well (and even blossomed and fruited during the winter months inside).

excellent product

The tree came quickly, looked good, and is growing well with lots of fruit. The problem is the fruit is all green. Even though it's getting huge and softer it's not turning yellow.
