I love how easy these fuzzy little pyramids are to care for!
The dense, bright green foliage of the Alberta Spruce almost never needs pruning. And it keeps its perfect conical shape season after season.
I have two in nice containers on each side of my front porch, and they make a perfect, formal entry to the house.
When these evergreen trees finally get too big for the containers, I can easily move them out into the landscape- they take transplanting very well.
I feed my Albertas with little fertilizer in the spring. In hot weather, I’ll gently trickle some extra water into the soil with a slow running hose. That’s really all there is to caring for these terrific little trees!
